 Stephen Peng (彭雄渾), a gifted artist.

In his 20’s, he held his first solo exhibition with people’s help.
In his 30’s, he started his own business by using his amazing talents, which later made him a famous fashion accessory designer and successful entrepreneur.
In his 40’s, he self-taught in photography, so he could take a photo of the bags he had created. Now, he learned to let go, but he remained fascinated in traveling, taking photos and painting. None the least, he learned to relax and enjoy life.

Stephen Peng (彭雄渾), dressed usually with a pony tail along with a baseball cap. His easy-going and passionate personality, made a impression on most people. With a life full of experiences. The life-full experiences had given him chances to play different roles: growing up in Taiwan as a child, living in Australia and Hong Kong and after laying his footprints over half of the world, he finally settled in Shanghai. A brilliant designer, successful entrepreneur, passionate photographer, traveler and epicure. In year 2008, he started painting again continued to focus on his painting creations, in which he transferred his passion and emotions along his art work. The confident, optimistic and easy-going personality are the same as his works. With a powerful sense of love and life, the brightness and warmth of his works magical effect towards people.

1969

  • First Solo Exhibition in American Consulate in China, Taichung Branch, commissioned exclusively by Taichung American Women’s Club.

1972

  • HOUSE OF MERCURY LTD. was founded by Mr. Stephen Peng (彭雄渾) in Taipei, Taiwan on to produce fabric shopping bags for the worldwide market.

1986

  • HOUSE OF MERCURY LTD. was established in Hong Kong.

1989

  • Appointed worldwide exclusive design and manufacturing and marketing for United Colors of Benetton (Italy).

1992

  • Delighted the world with the launch of the famous multicolor theme luggage for United Colors of Benetton.

1995

  • Appointed by Guess for design and manufacturing of man’s travel goods for Guess (Signal Products, USA).

  • Appointed as the first and only ever worldwide licensee of bags and luggage for Walt Disney (USA).

1997

  • Commenced design, manufacturing bags and travel goods for Diesel (Principe, Italy).

1998

  • Commenced design and manufacturing for Cerruti (Italy), Gianfranco Ferre (Italy), and Missoni (Italy).

2001

  • Appointed and commenced design, manufacturing and worldwide distribution for Levi’s (GMI, Italy).

2004

  • Appointed exclusive distribution rights in China for Levi’s Equipment and established first China flagship store in Shanghai.

2005

  • Appointed exclusive distribution rights in China for Delsey (France).

  • Commenced construction of HOM’s new corporate head office in Shanghai, China.

2007

  • Appointed exclusive design, manufacturing, distribution and licensing rights in China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan for the Elite Model Fashion (France) brand.

2008

  • Travel the world and focus on recreating his experiences and visions on canvas...

2009

  • Honorably invited by World Renown Automobile Brand - Mini Cooper to present Stephen Peng's (彭雄渾) signature artwork Aurora at its 50's celebration in China. The artwork which was imprinted onto the automobile body with the state of the art technology and it went on a road tour for an entire year, visited over 40 cities. He also commissioned a piece, Mini-Cooper in the Rain publicly at Mini Cooper's flagship store in Shanghai that attracted many news media and broad-castes by several local television stations.

2013

  • May - Stephen Peng's (彭雄渾) First Solo Exhibition since 1969 in Singapore, ION Center.

  • November - “Simply Natural, Splendid Life” Exhibition in Eslite, Taipei, Taiwan.

2014

  • March - Life in Color - Print Exhibition in collaboration with Epson Printing Co. in Taiwan.

  • November - invited by Gallery Nawei to exhibit at Singapore Art Fair.

  • November – Cross Over Project: Living in Style with Napa Valley Winery “Les Belle Collins”. Launch a limited edition of a wine set of 6 bottles, along with a 6 feet paint- ing, “Zhang Jia Jie V & VI” on the label.

  • December - “Bring Back Childhood” Charity Exhibition at Taipei 101, in Taipei, Taiwan. All proceeds donate to a project dedicated to schools in remote area through a NPO “World Journal Education Foundation”. Sponsored by World Journal Education Foundation and Wecan Group.

2015

  • March - invited by Italian Gallery FRY to exhibit at ARTOUR in Florence.

  • April - Cross Over Project: Travel in style with Traveler’s Station. Luggage set incorporate painting Life in Color II size.

  • June - First European Solo Exhibition Life in Color in Florence, Italy the prestigious halls of the ALL Space in Palazzo Capponi Carnigiani, invited by Italian Gallery FYR and co-sponsored by ALL, Giambo Organization.

  • July – Exhibition taken to the city of Venice, Italy at the space VeNews, Home of the City-International magazine during the Venice Biennal.

  • September – Cross Over Project with Cappelletti, an Italian shoe making brand that is over 100 years.

2016

  • April – Cross Over Land Rover Exclusive Mini-Exhibition at the Linkou studio.

  • OctoberLife in Color Exhibition in Rich Art, Taichung, Taiwan.

  • NovemberWith Form, With No Form Joint Exhibition in Huashan Creative Park, Taipei, Taiwan.

  • December – invited by Rich Art to exhibit at ART KAOHSIUNG.

2017

  • Crossover Project with Big Green Team, organizing art events Draw with Me for camping activity.

2018

  • Celebrating the 90th anniversary of The Fullerton Building in Fullerton, Singapore, the hotel hosted The Fullerton Concours d’Elegance, invited to charity auction in President's Challenge charity gala and exhibited Singapore series artwork in hotel.

2019

  • February – Charitable activity: invited by Social Entertainment Enterprise (SEE) to hold the elementary school art workshop.

  • March – The autobiography Life in Color was published at the Taipei International Book Fair.

  • April – invited by Hsinchu Cultural Affairs Bureau to exhibit Life in Color in Hsinchu Performing Arts Center, Hsinchu, Taiwan.

  • MayLife in Color Exhibition in Da-Tang Living Art Center, Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
